Dear Parents,
I
have to start by bragging on our students! They are doing a great job of
being focused, doing their best, and working at a fourth grade pace. Let
me tell you, lots of learning can happen when these three things are in place!
It’s
hard to believe that one week from today marks the end of First Quarter.
We’ve certainly done a lot of growing during these eight weeks. First
Quarter sets the foundation for the rest of the year. I just want to
remind students that the last week’s worth of grades can really make a
difference if they are on the “edge” of a particular goal. Stay focused,
keep working hard, and doing your best to give 100% to your work.
Parent/Teacher
conferences are coming up in a couple of weeks. Please make sure you have
signed up for a time for us to meet.
Finally, Multiplication
Contracts start next week for students who scored less than 80% on the timed
“Mad Minute”. It is their job to make sure and ask you to write studied facts in their Assignment Book.
They can study with flash card or this website (http://www.multiplication.com/games).
Have a fabulous
weekend! It sounds like it might feel a bit more fall like. J
Working together,
Ms. Tammy Myers
